Living with MSA- Paul’s Story

We are excited to share that our member, Paul Ord, recently participated in a half-hour interview on BBC Radio Newcastle. During the interview, Paul discussed his experiences living with MSA and his decision to donate his brain and body to science. The show also featured Dr. Mark Lee, Paul’s palliative care and MSA consultant from St. Benedict’s Hospice. Their conversation provides valuable insights and inspiration, and we highly recommend that all of our members give it a listen- https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0j2jxwt

“My wife and I decided to donate our bodies long before I started feeling unwell. After my diagnosis, I became determined to raise awareness about this disease. I want to ensure that future patients receive better assistance through increased knowledge.

I feel it is my duty to donate my brain and body to science to help find treatments and, hopefully, a cure for this cruel and devastating disease”- Paul Ord

If you have any questions after listening to the radio interview, please reach out to our support team at support@msatrust.org.uk.

I have listened to this twice now and both Paul and Dr. Lee have convinced me that I should donate both my brain and body at death. Good listen.
