
Professor Jalesh Panicker
Professor Jalesh Panicker is a Professor in Uro-Neurology and Clinical Neurology at the University College London (UCL) Queen Square Institute of Neurology. He also serves as a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN).
Dr. Panicker’s clinical expertise includes managing neurogenic bladder dysfunction, particularly in patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders. He leads a dedicated pelvic neurology service that addresses bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunction, often related to neurological conditions.
He completed his medical training at the University of Kerala and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in India. Dr. Panicker has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and 35 book chapters, and he has edited two books on uro-neurology.
Dr. Panicker is actively involved in teaching and training healthcare professionals, and his research is supported by external grants. His work significantly contributes to understanding the neural control of the lower urinary tract and the management of related dysfunctions.
