MSA Clinics

Amazingly, we have been fortunate to hold some face-to face MSA clinics, despite the ongoing constraints of Covid-19 and the current increase of restrictions.

The MSA Nurse Specialist are all keen to try and support all our clinic colleagues to be able to see people in the clinics again whenever it is possible and can be done safely. We know from the calls we take how much face-to-face consultations and clinic follow–up is appreciated.

To have achieved this anywhere at all is a reflection of the commitment of the Consultants and clinic staff. They have identified appropriate clinic rooms with ease of access avoiding the main hospital areas, increased the time for appointments so people are not waiting in a communal area, and provide masks and hand sanitiser so the clinics can take place in a safe manner.

Unfortunately not all the areas we have MSA clinics in have the capacity to be able to do this, but it is clear that where it has been possible, and the opportunity taken, people with MSA have really appreciated being seen.

If you need support from NHS services, you can contact them and ask for a review, you don’t always have to wait for them to contact you if things have changed.

If you have any questions about MSA clinics or appointments in general, please contact your MSA Nurse Specialist. All their contact details can be found here – https://www.msatrust.org.uk/support-for-you/msa-nurse-specialists/.
