Professor Jalesh Panicker

Professor Jalesh N. Panicker is Consultant Neurologist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square and is Associate Professor in Uro-Neurology and Clinical Neurology at the University College London (UCL) Queen Square Institute of Neurology.

He leads the Uro-Neurology department and the multidisciplinary team of Consultants from Neurology, Urology, Uro-gynaecology, Neuro-Gastroenterology, Specialist Nurses, Clinical scientists and a Health psychologist to offer a comprehensive approach to the evaluation and management of bladder, sexual and bowel dysfunction in patients with known and suspected neurological disorders.

He has been involved in the care of individuals with MSA since joining Queen Square in 2008 and provides diagnostic input and specialist advice on managing urinary and sexual problems. He has an academic interest in urogenital dysfunction and spinal cord involvement occurring in MSA. He has led the Urogenital failure working group of the recently concluded MDS MSA Criteria Revision Task force.
